Model: CELLIPOWER08 system DF-BED/SSFeature: Shanghai RITAI is pleased to introduce to the world their first DF-Bed (Fixed-Fluidized Bed) unit for fiber disk cell culture. DF-Bed unit is developed base on the principle of fluidization, consisting of a primary fixed bed with a secondary fluidized bed. The process allows fiber disks to periodically and briefly flow up and rotate in the media solution.
The duration and period can be customized. The DF-Bed cell culture retains all benefits of Fixed Bed cell culture while overcoming its disadvantages, increasing cell density and production. This process avoids the impact of mechanical shearing force. Cells are grown inside the disk, cultivating good colony effect. It can perform direct aeration, air bubbles are rotated and dispersed, increasing the concentration of oxygen in media solution.
It can perform sampling without contamination, cell counts and monitor cell growth. And it is excellent potential for scale up. Application: It is suitable for anchorage independent and anchorage dependent cell culture, and it is good for serum free cell culture, long time perfusion processing, harvesting the metabolized products.
Wetted parts are SS316L, and others is SS304.
